This after-school program was created in 2006 by Lesbi Chavez and her husband, Juventino Guaran, so that children from economically impoverished families in San Antonio Aguas Calientes could receive a quality education and strengthen their cultural and family ties.
Children in the program attend school, study together, learn traditional style folk dance, take music lessons, learn English, practice computer skills, grow vegetables, share meals, and give back to their community. The program is always growing to meet the needs of children, their families, and the community.
Niños con Bendición is a unique cultural and educational after-school program that empowers children to transform their own lives.
